PWTorch.com is reporting that Captain Charisma, Christian, will make his long-awaited return to Friday Night SmackDown this week:
WWE travels to Columbus, Ohio for Tuesday's Smackdown TV taping. The top item advertised is the return of Christian, who has been on the shelf for several months with an injury.
Christian is advertised for a Peep Show talking segment with guests Smackdown GM Teddy Long and Raw GM John Laurinaitis.
Time for the peeps to rejoice!
Captain Charisma has been on the shelf since a few months now due to the ankle injury he suffered at a house show in the United Kingdom.
Christian had arguably the best year of his WWE career in 2011, winning the World Heavyweight Championship twice, and putting on stellar matches with Randy Orton throughout the summer.
Even after his heated rivalry with Orton, he was kept relevant with a decent mid-card feud with soon-to-be Royal Rumble winner Sheamus.
Now it seems that he's going to be involved in some way in the GM vs GM match at WrestleMania, most likely as a representative of Laurinaitis' team.
Fine by me. With the chances of the Money In The Bank match coming back to the Showcase of the Immortals becoming slim and slim, it is going to be difficult for the superstars in mid card purgatory to find a place on the card.
With the only sensible rivalry for Christian on coming back, Sheamus, on his way to the World Championship match, placing Christian in the 12-man tag team match makes sense.
Either way, it's always good to see Christian back, and I'm glad he's back in time for WrestleMania.
Hopefully, after April 1, he can get that elusive "One More Match" at the World Championship!
