Upton was seated next to her Uncle Aubrey on the corner sideline, which may have had a negative impact on the players' shooting. The Daily Thunder noticed some undeniable statistics:
"Fun fact: Shooting at the basket where Upton sat under, both teams combined to go just 39 percent from the floor. On the other end? 49.4 percent. Also, the Suns went 9-of-12 in the first half from the free throw line, while at the Upton end, they missed six."
For the first half, the Thunder shot on the side where Upton was seated. They trailed the Suns for that entire half. However, during the second half when the Suns shot on Upton's side, the Thunder came back and won 115-104.
Did Upton distract shooters on the side where she was sitting, or was it just a coincidence?
The next day, Kevin Durant posted on his Instagram that he, James Harden and Kate Upton were shooting for Skullcandy Headphones. His photo caption said, "Kate upton, James and I at the skullcandy shoot!! She is a beautiful young lady"
Maybe the low shooting stats weren't just a coincidence!
