Two of the coveted four No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament have been all but decided upon.  However, Ohio State can make a very good case as to why they deserve a top seed by defeating Michigan State today.

Ohio State defeated their rival Michigan yesterday, in a game that was put clear out of reach by the Buckeyes, making their case for why they are a dominant team heading into the NCAA tournament.

Ohio State is riding a four-game win streak, with wins over Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern and Michigan State over the last couple weeks.

They will meet the Spartans once again on Sunday afternoon for the Big 10 tournament championship.

The final two No. 1 seeds come down to just a few teams that will need to make their case for why they deserve to be a team with one of the easier roads to the Final Four.  It is perceived that Kentucky and Syracuse have been penciled in as top seeds, and North Carolina, Missouri, Kansas and Ohio State are all fighting for two spots.

North Carolina will take on Florida State today for the ACC tournament championship and Missouri defeated Baylor yesterday.  Kansas lost to Baylor earlier in the Big 12 tournament.

However, Ohio State may have the toughest competition of the teams playing for the tournament championship.

Michigan State is a team just on the border of the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the NCAA tournament.  A win against the Buckeyes today and they could very well be in the top seed discussion, as well.

The Buckeyes look better than everyone else right now, though.  They fully dismantled a Michigan team that was supposed to really challenge Ohio State in the Big 10 semifinals, and they beat the Spartans just one week ago.

Ohio State deserves of a top seed based on the talent they have played recently and the consistency they have added to their team down the stretch of this season.
