ESPN is reporting that the Washington Redskins have acquired the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

The Redskins, who reportedly will give the St. Louis Rams three first-round picks and a second-rounder, will presumably select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.

Reports surfaced earlier that the Rams were asking for three first-round picks for the pick, which led to many teams dropping out of the running. Washington apparently believes enough in Griffin to pay the hefty price for the quarterback.
