Perhaps you never heard of the "Dragon," the pride of Indonesia, the undefeated WBA featherweight champion of the world.
Well, after 43 fights in the last 10 years, John will finally have his U.S. debut in Houston, come February 28 against tough hometown favorite Ricardo "Rocky" Juarez.
John who fought mostly in Indonesia. In places which names will give you a hard time to pronounce and which probably you don't know exists, places like Kelapa Gading, Kutai Ketanagar and Kuta to name a few.
In short he fought away from the lights of Las Vegas, away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood but he sure had carved his name as one of best boxers to come out of Indonesia.
His record seemed to good to be true, 42-0-1, Which includes a controversial unanimous decision win against Mexican legend, Juan Manuel Marquez and former world champion Ratanachai Sor Vorapin.
But if you look and examine his record you'll find out that throught out his career he fought 13 winless fighters, 15 fighters who has more losses than wins and conservatively saying about at least 15 part-time boxer, part-time cable man.
Well, come February 28, he'll have his hands full against Juarez who, even thought always losses in championship fights, had earned the respect of boxing experts worldwide.
