FC Barcelona: Juan Roman Riquelme Praises Leo Messi and Andres Iniesta

Juan Roman Riquelme from Boca Juniors praised Leo Messi and Andres Iniesta of FC Barcelona. Riquelme praised the two in an interview given to Vorterix which was published in Goal.

Riquelme talked about how Messi could be thinking about one subject one minute and then score a goal the next minute. Riquelme praised Messi as a genius in world football for his scoring techniques.

During the interview, Riquelme changed the subject and praised Iniesta for his abilities. Riquelme talked about Iniesta is able to move around the field and break down deadlocks from opposing teams.

Riquelme knows what he is talking about when it comes to Messi and Iniesta.


Leo Messi

According to ESPN Soccernet, Messi scored 28 goals within 24 matches in the 2011-12 La Liga. He has eight assists and 123 shots within the same season.

Messi has appeared in the cover of Time magazine (except the USA) for his contributions to world football. He won the Ballon D'Or three times along with trophies in the UEFA Champions League, La Liga and the UEFA Super Cup.


Andre Iniesta

Iniesta will forever be remembered for scoring the goal that lead to Spain's victory in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Xavi once praised Iniesta for being a complete world football player.

He is famous in Barca for being a versatile player in midfield. Iniesta is one of the protagonists for La Blaugrana in the UEFA Champions League and La Liga.



Messi and Iniesta will forever be remembered in the pages of Barca history for their contributions to the club and world football.
