Sao Paulo FC will have to wait for young Juninho, as he returns to Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy for a second stint in the midfield. For this Brazilian, it’s back to work as the G’s resume CONCACAF Champions League action on Wednesday against Toronto FC.
Juninho was instrumental in group play for the Galaxy, helping secure a result against Monarcas Morelia at the Home Depot Center last year. He will look to be in the clutch once again, creating mass confusion for the Reds and creating opportunities for the forwards.
“[The] Galaxy always does everything to win; we have great players and a great team, and it has been a while since an American team has won CONCACAF,” Juninho told MLSSoccer.com’s Luis Bueno, alluding to the Galaxy’s CONCACAF Champions Cup victory in 2000. “We have an opportunity in front of us to make history: to put Galaxy in the Club World Cup.
“We all know what is at stake.”
