Arsenal have reportedly signed youngster Tarum Dawkins from Luton Town.
The Gunners have snapped up the 16-year-old for what Luton describe as a "significant transfer fee."
Dawkins is a winger who has attracted considerable attention in recent months from a number of parties.
Luton claim that 14 Premier League Clubs were interested in Dawkins' signature, along with one Scottish Premier League Club.
Greg Broughton, Luton's Head of Youth, revealed that the deal had taken nine months to complete after protracted negotiations.
Broughton described Dawkins as:
Very quick both with and without the football, can play off both feet and therefore he will fit in very well with Arsenal's style of play. Playing on either wing he is capable of beating full backs on both the inside and outside making him very difficult to play against.
Broughton added that Dawkins had been "desperate to join Arsenal," and all sides were happy that the transfer had been concluded.
Dawkins very much appears to be a player for the future, as Arsenal continue to add depth to their ranks of youth players.
