We are now 14 games away from the end of the La Liga season, and as always the weekend brings some intriguing games.

The title is still firmly in Real Madrid's grasp, and it seems that the battle for fourth to sixth place may provide the most entertainment as the season closes.

When the last 10 games of the season come around, I will begin doing a La Liga round up of sorts at the start of the following week.

Here are the predictions for Round 25 of La Liga.

Mallorca vs. Osasuna

Mallorca haven't been in great form but shouldn't have too much to worry about, considering Osasuna's struggles away from home. Mallorca may not necessarily get the win, though, as Osasuna is the more confident side.

Prediction: Draw 1-1

Rayo Vallecano vs. Racing Santander

Rayo Vallecano were close to holding Real Madrid to a draw last weekend. This side looks likely to stay up, but they will face a tough fight from a side three points away from getting out of the relegation zone.

Prediction: Rayo Vallecano win 1-0

Getafe vs. Malaga

Malaga got some big points last weekend with a big win over Real Zaragoza. They haven't been great on the road through this season, though, so it will be a tough game against Getafe.

Prediction: Malaga win 2-1

Barcelona vs. Sporting Gijon

At some point, Barcelona may start to put less emphasis on La Liga. It won't be this weekend, though, and Sporting Gijon would do very well to get any points.

Prediction: Barcelona 2-0

Sevilla vs. Atletico Madrid

Sevilla have two wins in its last three matches, and Atletico Madrid have zero wins. These teams are tied on points and two points out of the European spots.

Sevilla have the third-best defense in the league, and Atletico have not been great on the road.

Prediction: Sevilla win 1-0

Zaragoza vs. Villarreal

Things aren't especially good for Real Zaragoza at the moment, as they are bottom of the league and six points behind Sporting Gijon. Villarreal have been really bad away from home and cannot afford to drop points. They sit right outside the relegation zone, and a loss might see them drop into the relegation zone.

Prediction: Draw 2-2

Athletic Bilbao vs. Real Sociedad

Depending on other results, Athletic Bilbao could drop a few positions with a loss, and Real Sociedad could go up a few positions with a win.

Prediction: Athletic Bilbao win 3-1

Granada CF vs. Valencia

Valencia need to right the ship after two straight losses. Third place is not a certainty anymore with Levante five points behind and Athletic Bilbao, Malaga and Osasuna right behind them.

Granada won't make it easy, but Valencia's quality may be the difference in the end.

Prediction: Valencia win 1-0

Real Madrid vs. Espanyol

Real Madrid are just strolling along game after game in La Liga. Rayo Vallecano made it hard away from home last week, but Los Merengues will be expected to win at home.

Prediction: Real Madrid win 3-1

Levante vs. Real Betis

Levante picked up a win last week after two straight losses. They are still well-placed to finish in a European spot and will need to take all the points they can from games like this.

Real Betis has a draw and two wins in their last three games. They will make it tough for the home team.

Prediction: Draw 2-2
