Insanely Early College Football 2009 Preseason Top Five Poll

Now that the 2008 college football season has FINALLY come to a close, it's never too early to get ready to think of what may happen next year.
And as premature as this may be since we're still not sure who's leaving and who's staying yet, I've complied a list of who I think are teams that will start the 2009 season in the top five.
5. Ohio State Buckeyes
Forget the Fiesta Bowl loss to Texas. Forget the beatdown against USC. Remember this: Terrell Pryor will be a sophomore next season.
After an impressive freshman year, this quarterback has plenty of room (and plenty of receivers) to grow as a credible collegiate player. He also has the audacity to run the ball well.
Brian Hartline might be the No. 1 receiver to throw to and running back Daniel Herron can make a name for himself as Beanie Wells' successor.
Beware the Buckeyes in '09.
4. Oklahoma Sooners
Quarterback Sam Bradford is the make-or-break case for the Oklahoma Sooners. If he leaves, Oklahoma may fall. Unless John Nimmo knows something we don't.
Although their defense leaves something for the imagination, you can always expect the Sooners to be an offensive threat. If running backs DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown don't leave also, maybe the Sooners will be even scarier next season than this season.
3. Texas Longhorns
Quarterback Colt McCoy coming back...Check.
Top receiver Jordan Shipley coming back...Check.
Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp coming back...Check.
Are the Texas Longhorns a threat for the national title next season? Yes, sir.
McCoy and Shipley are one of the best 1-2 punches in the country. Paired with solid running backs "Fozzy" McGee and Cody Johnson and a defense that's only going to get better with Muschamp leading the way, the Longhorns are for real.
So why aren't they my No. 1 preseason pick? Do you really need to ask?
2. USC Trojans
I usually low-ball this team in preseason. I never put them on a pedestal because I feel like they still need to prove themselves worthy. After seeing them beat the living crap out of Penn State, they are SO worthy.
If Mark Sanchez comes back, I will be scared of this team, and so should everybody else.
Even if he does leave, Mitch Mustain will be ready to take over. They have some great running backs in Joe McKnight, C.J. Gable, and Stafon Johnson. Receivers Damian Williams and Ronald Johnson are solid and the defense, THAT DEFENSE.
Holy crap! This USC team could be the best Trojan team ever.
1. Florida Gators
The best team in the end of the 2008 season WILL be the best team in the beginning of the 2009 season.
Quarterback Tim Tebow is a phenomenal talent. He threw just four interceptions all year. Granted two of them came from the championship game. But it's still an amazing stat.
Tebow returns, Percy Harvin returns, that awesome running game, and that RIDICULOUS defense. Hang tight and you got yourself a recipe for a possible repeat.
However they do have to go through that SEC conference, which is always a challenge.
Okay guys it's your turn. What do you think of this list?
What are your top five? Your input is always welcomed. Thanks for reading.
