It's been a while since Tim Tebow dominated the headlines. Thankfully, we've got some potential dating rumors—with Taylor Swift, no less!—to sustain us during this dry spell.

Okay, so "thankfully" may not be the word for it.

Here is the latest rumor, from the New York Post:

Page Six reported that Tebow was the toast of a pre-Oscars bash on Friday night, where he spent some time chatting up Swift. The pair then had dinner Monday night at Toscanova Italian restaurant in Century City, according to the website Clevvertv.com.

"After dinner, he walked her out," a source told the website, adding that it was unclear whether the get-together was a date. "Then he walked back in to join two other people. I think they may both have been with their agents."

Nothing says romance like a date night with your agents tagging along. If they were, in fact, their agents. There are a lot of variables in play here.

Here's the video report from the reputable (cough) Clevvertv.com:

I love how in the video she notes this could have been just a business meeting, but then realizes acknowledging that fact totally alters the juicy dating hook. She then brings it back by stating that they walked in to the restaurant together and he later walked her out.

Breaking news! Tim Tebow is polite!

With that being said, if the two were dating and later broke up then there is the exciting prospect of Swift penning an angry song about Tebow and performing it live at some award show.

I even have a song title locked and loaded—"Intercepted My Heart."

Now if you don't mind, can we all go back to talking about Jeremy Lin, please?
