You have to feel for Danica Patrick.
After getting turned into a SAFER barrier at the Gatorade Duels, she found herself in another crash in the second lap of the Daytona 500 on Monday, along with Jimmie Johnson, David Ragan and defending champion Trevor Bayne.
There's significant damage to the cars of Patrick and Bayne, as Johnson finds his car on a tow truck.
The crash was caused by Johnson, who suddenly swung into the wall. Johnson said he felt some pressure on the left rear of his car before the accident.
Patrick made two great maneuvers to avoid worse damage, but was unable to avoid the wreckage entirely.
On Fox, both Johnson and Ragan were noticeably frustrated and disappointed. After a rain delay caused "The Great American Race" to move from Sunday to Monday night, it has to be rough to crash on the second lap.
Ragan's car in particular slammed hard into the driver's side door of Johnson's No. 48, creating a big collision, while Patrick's car swerved then slid across the track.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the wreck, but it's safe to say the 2012 Daytona 500 didn't start off smoothly.
