Big Ben's Bowling Balance Belies Full Recovery

Bryan HollisterAnalyst IJanuary 7, 2009

Pittsburgh—Ben Roethlisberger returned to practice this week, and all indications are that he will start and play this weekend when the San Diego Chargers come to town.

But is Ben really ready for a return to action? Maybe not.

If this video is any indication, Big Ben is still struggling with the effects of having his brain bounced around inside his cranium against the Browns in the regular season closer.

The video is a bit grainy, and the accompanying text is totally off topic, but you can see it well enough to make out Big Ben taking a spill as he releases the ball, followed by Hines Ward pointing and laughing at his quarterback.

Not funny, Hines; This guy needs to be on his game.

Maybe he had a little too much oil on his shoes. Yeah, that's it. His shoes were oily.

I feel better now. For a minute there, I was a bit worried.
