It was only a matter of time and today was that time. January 7th, 2009 marked the day that Adam "Don't call me Pac Man anymore" Jones has lost probably his final job in the National Football League.
The Dallas Cowboys have released the once highly-touted defensive back and return specialist.
So what is next for Jones?
"I'm opening up my own strip club," said Jones.
You heard right. He plans on opening his very own club filled with scantily-clad women who dance through the night to please their patrons.
"I'm tired of being told what to do," he said. "I'm going to be my own boss."
It seems a bit strange that Jones would be heading into the business that cost him his job in Tennessee.
We all remember back in 2007 when he was making it rain in Las Vegas at the Minxx Gentlemen's Club & Lounge. Shots were fired, a melee ensued, people were hurt.
If it's not strange already, Jones plans to open his next venture in the gambling capital of the world, Vegas.
"Club 81 Grand is going to be the biggest thing to hit Vegas since those guys and their tigers," Jones went on.
The 81 Grand is in reference to the $81,020 dollars that were reportedly tossed in the air that fateful night in Minxx.
Reports out of Dallas say that they are looking to improve the team's chemistry and Jones "drew the short straw."
One source from the team indicates that issues with Jones and the Cowboys' appointed security detail were the final straw.
"[Expletive] them," Jones said. "At my club I'm going to be my own security. Those guys I hire can't do [expletive]. I'll run and secure the place myself. People don't realize I did wrestle for a little bit too. The NFL needs Pac...I mean me; I don't need the NFL."
