Venting Over Eagles Fans
As a Philadelphia fan I find myself to be one of the more sensible ones and not the traditional Eagles fan yelling at Big Red after every play under 30 yards.
As such I think that people saying Red (yes I know that says red) needs to give up his general manager job are ridiculous. It is almost as bad as saying he needs to get fired. This man obviously wins games, more than the Eagles have without him. Just because you do not agree with his offense that he runs does not mean he needs to go.
Secondly, Marty calls most of the plays for the team, not Big Red.
Next, Buckhalter did not run much last week because he played fullback for the second half when Klecko got injured. The Eagles should not have tried to run more against the Vikings—first-best run defense in the league means something.
As a fan I do not believe we have any right to discuss McNabb's personality. So what if he enjoys the game? Smiling and laughing instead of getting upset and throwing the game away is much more appreciated. My brother and I had tickets into Citizens Bank Park on Halloween Day and as the world champions were announced this guy next to me would (in between taking pictures of this girl's ass is front of us) start saying how each player needed to go and was not that good.
I know we all want another parade down Broad. We went nuts for the Phillies, the city would riot with an Eagles championship. And the McNabb—Reid combo is the most likely to get us what it is we all want. A Super Bowl victory. And for anyone that does not think Donovan is a warrior seriously needs to watch the Eagles-Cardinals game from 2002 where he played 90 percent of the game on a broken ankle. I think the NFL Network had that around the ninth-toughest moment in league history.
Just had to vent for a second after listening to my fellow Philadelphia fans.
