Hello friends, welcome to another "Superstar Discussion" article. In this edition I will discuss the Cody Rhodes/Big Show feud and express my opinions on it.

At Elimination Chamber, Cody Rhodes eliminated Big Show and proceeded to celebrate his achievement until Santino eliminated him. The next night on Raw, Rhodes was eliminated by Big Show in the No. 1 contender’s battle royal for the WWE Championship. Jericho and Show were the last two left and Rhodes pulled Show over the top rope, costing him the match.

The storyline continued on SmackDown when Rhodes came out during the Big Show/Mark Henry match and made fun of Show. He played an embarrassing video of him from WrestleMania where he engaged in sumo wrestling. Mark Henry would take advantage and try to pick up the quick win but Show hit him with the W.M.D. and went after Rhodes.

So that brings us to today. Why has the WWE decided to put Cody Rhodes in a feud with the Big Show? Rhodes and Show do not have the best chemistry together and their fighting styles do not mix well. Big Show is older and uses a slow power attack while Rhodes likes using quick attack moves.

The point is there are many other opponents for Rhodes to face at WrestleMania. Cody could put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Randy Orton, Christian or even his brother Goldust. Goldust and Rhodes had a small storyline a few months ago about this matchup. But why Big Show?

The only reason the WWE put the Big Show in this feud is because Shaq will not be appearing at this year’s WrestleMania. The WWE had hoped to have Big show take on Shaq in a gimmick match. But now that option is not available, so the WWE apparently chose this matchup for him.

For me, the suggested match between Rhodes and Big Show just doesn't have enough appeal to it. Again, Rhodes taking on Randy Orton, Christian or Goldust would all be more intriguing than Rhodes taking on Show. This isn't a bashing of Show by any means. I like the Big Show and I think he still has one or two good matches in him, but this doesn't look like it will be one of them.

This is a discussion article so I encourage you to post your opinions in the comment section. I will answer your comments with my own.
