Phoenix -- Los Angeles Dodgers centerfielder Matt Kemp on Tuesday told ESPNLosAngeles.com that he doesn't believe he should be given the National League MVP award if the Brewers' Ryan Braun loses his appeal of a 50-game suspension.

I expect that ruling to come down either Wednesday or Thursday, because Braun is scheduled to report to camp on Friday. Braun launched his appeal after testing positive for a banned substance in early October, after the votes from the Baseball Writers Association of America were cast for individual player awards from the regular season.
