NBA All-Star Game 2012: 20 Hottest WAGs of All-Star Weekend
It seems that the NBA All-Star weekend is once again upon us, and with the NFL season well behind us and MLB barely into spring training, the NBA All-Star Game tends to get an excessive amount of coverage each year.
You might be saying to yourself, "sure that's fine for basketball fans, but what's in it for the rest of us?" Well, that is a totally reasonable question, to which I answer—slam dunks and plenty of hot broads.
On hand for the festivities will be the NBA's hottest celebrity fans, gyrating dancers wearing next to nothing and, of course, some of the hottest WAGs in the NBA.
Now that I've got your attention—here are 20 of the hottest WAGs of the NBA All-Star Game 2012.
20. Amy Williams (with Deron Williams)
Player: Deron Williams
Team: New Jersey Nets
All-Star Event: Main Game, Skills Challenge
Amy Williams is the longtime love of nets point guard Deron Williams. The couple actually met way back in the second grade—but obviously they waited awhile before doing the whole "relationship thing."
Amy gave birth to the couple's first of four children in 2002, and eventually Deron made an honest woman of her, marrying her in 2006.
WAG Fact: Deron has a number of tattoos, but his favorite is the name of his wife on his wrist.
19. Jada Crawley Paul (with Chris Paul)
Player: Chris Paul
Team: Los Angeles Clippers
All-Star Event: Main Game
Jada Crawley and Clippers point guard Chris Paul were college sweethearts who met at a basketball tournament in North Carolina. These kids made it official in late 2011, and said "I do" in front of 300 guests at a lavish ceremony in Charlotte.
Apparently CP3 is a bit of a romantic—he proposed to Jada in the same gym where they first met.
WAG Fact: Girl has strong feeling on packing peanuts—in that she thinks the inventor should be straight up murdered.
18. Julie Landrum (with Paul Pierce)
Player: Paul Pierce
Team: Boston Celtics
All-Star Event: Main Game
Julie Landrum is the wife of Celtics forward Paul Pierce. The couple had been together just over four years when they made it official in July 2010.
Props to both of them for keeping their nuptials a private affair—their intimate oceanside wedding had a modest guest count of 80 of their closest friends and family.
WAG Fact: Julie used to kick it with free-agent guard Larry Hughes before hooking up with Pierce—but it probably didn't get serious because Hughes was married the whole time.
17. Axelle (with Tony Parker)
Player: Tony Parker
Team: San Antonio Spurs
All-Star Event: Main Game, Skills Challenge
In February 2012, it was reported that Spurs point guard Tony Parker was in a relationship with a mysterious French woman named Axelle—the first woman he's dated seriously since his messy divorce from actress Eva Longoria.
WAG Fact: Like I said, homegirl is mysterious—all I know is that she's French and she might be a model.
16. Adrienne Williams (with Chris Bosh)
Player: Chris Bosh
Team: Miami Heat
All-Star Event: Main Game
Adrienne Williams is the wife of Heat forward Chris Bosh. In early 2011, it was reported that these two were secretly married—since that's usually what happens when you obtain a marriage license—but all parties involved vehemently denied the report.
Perhaps they denied it so that their ridiculously lavish, star-studded over-the-top wedding that took place five months later wouldn't seem like a waste of $300,000.
WAG Fact: Adrienne uses Twitter to post trite, useless cliches 10-15 times per day—such as: "Respect is earned, Honesty is appreciated, Love is gained & Loyalty is returned :)"
15. Kolbi Killingback (with Gordon Hayward)
Player: Gordon Hayward
Team: Utah Jazz
All-Star Event: BBVA Rising Stars Challenge
Kolbi Killingback is the girlfriend of Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. The couple was first spotted together at the 2010 NBA Draft—kissing a cute blonde after being drafted is an excellent way to attract attention.
Kolbi is still a few years away from becoming a courtside fixture—she was fresh out of high school when Hayward was drafted and is currently a sophomore at Ball State University. She may make an appearance at All-Star weekend, but if you see her it means she probably failed a test.
WAG Fact: Girl might be dating Gordon Hayward, but she dreams about Kevin Garnett.
14. Cristina Blesa (with Marc Gasol)
Player: Marc Gasol
Team: Memphis Grizzlies
All-Star Event: Main Game
Cristina Blesa is the girlfriend of Grizzlies center Marc Gasol. These two lovebirds have been together for at least a year and enjoy spending the offseason lounging on yachts in the Mediterranean.
WAG Fact: Um…she looks good in a bikini and enjoys kayaking.
13. Savannah Brinson (with LeBron James)
Player: LeBron James
Team: Miami Heat
All-Star Event: Main Game
Savannah Brinson is the high school sweetheart of Heat superstar LeBron James. King James decided to surprise the mother of his two children by popping the question at a New Years party among friends in December 2011.
The happy couple hasn't announced a wedding date yet, but Savannah tweets wedding deets on the regular.
WAG Fact: Savannah might be engaged to a king, but her life (as expressed on Twitter) seems positively mundane. She watches PBS and The Amazing Race, shops at Whole Foods, is constantly dieting and loves Dairy Queen and Red Lobster's cheesy biscuits.
12. Jessica Olsson (with Dirk Nowitzki)
Player: Dirk Nowitzki
Team: Dallas Mavericks
All-Star Event: Main Game
From what I gather, Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki has been dating art gallery manager Jessica Olsson since late 2010—although I "gathered" this from a German news website and I don't speak German, so…
In July 2011, the Internet was abuzz with rumors that Dirk and Jessica had gotten engaged, but there was no official confirmation and eventually the rumors died down.
WAG Fact: Jessica is the sister of Swedish twin footballers Martin and Marcus Olsson—they both play in the Premier League.
11. Tiffany Graves (with Mario Chalmers)
Player: Mario Chalmers
Team: Miami Heat
All-Star Event: Three-Point Contest
Heat point guard Mario Chalmers and reality show person/model Tiffany Graves have been dating since late 2011. Who knows how serious these two are, but apparently they spent New Years together—for what that's worth.
WAG Fact: Tiffany isn't a reality show regular, but she appeared on Season 6 of BET's College Hill South Beach in 2009. Oh, and she was recently assaulted by a soap dispenser.
10. Samantha Prahalis (with Evan Turner)
Player: Evan Turner
Team: Philadelphia 76ers
All-Star Event: BBVA Rising Stars Challenge
Sixers guard Evan Turner has been dating Samantha Prahalis since late 2009, when they were both playing basketball at Ohio State. Evan may have left Columbus for Philly, but Samantha is still balling at OSU—and she's one of the top talents in the Big Ten.
WAG Fact: In late 2010, Samantha was handed a three-day suspension for an NCAA violation—it was reported that her trip to the NBA draft with Evan was paid for by his agent.
9. Brittany Richardson (with Steve Nash)
Player: Steve Nash
Team: Phoenix Suns
All-Star Event: Main Game
Suns point guard Steve Nash has been dating Brittany Richardson since right around the time he divorced his ex-wife Alejandra in July 2010. According to TerezOwens, the timeline of the relationship is a little bit suspect—considering he dumped the wife for cheating.
However the whole thing started, the couple are often spotted on the red carpet together and seem to be making it work.
WAG Fact: Brittany has an interesting take on domestic abusers, recently tweeting: "No one can really talk sh*t about Chris Brown if Rihanna doesn't."
Got it! So if someone is violently abused and decides it's no big deal, all should be forgotten.
8. Ayesha Alexander Curry (with Stephen Curry)
Player: Stephen Curry
Team: Golden State Warriors
All-Star Event: Skills Challenge
Warriors guard Stephen Curry met his (now) wife Ayesha Alexander at a church youth group when they were 15, but the two didn't begin dating until they both began attending Davidson College in 2007. The pair married in summer 2011.
WAG Fact: Ayesha has been working as an actress and model since age four, and has a very successful career outside her work as Mrs. Stephen Curry.
7. Vanessa Bryant (with Kobe Bryant)
Player: Kobe Bryant
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
All-Star Event: Main Game
Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant and his estranged wife Vanessa aren't exactly a couple at the moment, but they aren't completely "estranged" either. Despite filing for divorce in late 2011, Vanessa has seemed mildly receptive to Kobe's very public efforts to win her back.
Although, she may be kissing Kobe, but apparently she's house-hunting in New York City—talk about mixed message.
WAG Fact: Early in 2011, it was reported that Vanessa was desperate for her own reality show, but Kobe's refusal to participate probably killed it. VH1's Basketball Wives is said to be desperate to land her.
6. Christine Vest (with Dwight Howard)
Player: Dwight Howard
Team: Orlando Magic
All-Star Event: Main Game
After splitting with Basketball Wives' Royce Reed in 2010, Magic center Dwight Howard was first spotted with singer/songwriter Christine Vest in June 2011. That's when they were first seen together, but they had reportedly been together for almost a year by then.
Vest's L.A. based life/career makes you wonder if Howard could end up playing for the Lakers after all.
WAG Fact: Girl recently tweeted: "Wow…how does 'Prison Wives' have less drama/cursing than…well..U Know..lol"
I'm not entirely certain, but I'm pretty sure she compared the VH1 horrifying car crash known as Basketball Wives to a show about people in prison. Love it.
5. Lala Vazquez (with Carmelo Anthony)
Player: Carmelo Anthony
Team: New York Knicks
All-Star Event: Main Game
Knicks superstar forward Carmelo Anthony and television personality Lala Vazquez were married in 2010, but the couple has been together for almost a decade. Since moving to New York, Lala has landed her own VH1 reality show: Lala's Full Court Life
WAG Fact: Lala is looking for a distributor for her signature makeup—according to the same tweet she sends out every 12 hours. So…uh…email her if you're interested.
4. Elise Novak (with Kevin Love)
Player: Kevin Love
Team: Minnesota Timberwolves
All-Star Event: Main Game, Three-Point Contest
Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been dating Elise Novak for at least a year—their relationship was reported on TerezOwnes in January, 2011.
WAG Fact: Elise's favorites include—Physics, cookies, pizza, Seinfeld, Tiger Woods, the Dalai Lama, and UCLA sports.
3. Gabrielle Union (with Dwyane Wade)
Player: Dwyane Wade
Team: Miami Heat
All-Star Event: Main Game
Heat superstar Dwyane Wade has been dating actress Gabrielle Union since right around the time he filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Funches.
The whole timetable is hazy, but in May 2010, Funches filed a lawsuit alleging Wade and Union engaged in "sexual foreplay" in front of the couple's sons—the case was eventually dismissed.
WAG Fact: Before getting involved with D-Wade, Gabrielle was married to former NFL running back Chris Howard.
2. Keyshia Dior (with John Wall)
Player: John Wall
Team: Washington Wizards
All-Star Event: Main Game
I have no idea if Wizards point guard John Wall is still dating model Keyshia Dior, but they were reportedly a couple in the fall of 2011. The interwebs were abuzz about the new couple then, but I'm still not sure that "making it rain" on a woman means she's your girlfriend.
Wall reportedly "made it rain" to the tune of $10,000 on Ms. Dior—but still, I'm not sure that's considered "Facebook official" dating.
WAG Fact: Apparently Keyshia Dior is now known as Keyshia Ka'oir—CEO/Founder of Kaoir Cosmetics…which sounds to me like she's probably still dating Wall.
1. Sabrina Maserati (with Blake Griffin)
Player: Blake Griffin
Team: Los Angeles Clippers
All-Star Event: Main Game
In December 2011, TerezOwens reported that Clippers superstar Blake Griffin was shacking up with model/dancer/marketing person Sabrina Maserati. Apparently they had been seeing each other for "a little while."
Before being linked with Blake, Sabrina was a model based out of Florida and a former dancer for the Orlando Magic. Today she's a marketing representative for Republic Records based in California.
WAG Fact: I've learned the following about Sabrina via her Twitter page—girl likes to drink, dance, crack jokes, (eat or play) dominos, she's an ice skating pro and she's got at least one ridiculously hot friend.
