Forget Edge and Christian: MVP and Mr Kennedy Will Be The Rivalry Of 2009
Everyone is awaiting the return of the Instant Classic and what awaits the WWE.
Everyone believes the Christian/Edge rivalry will be the fued of 2009. Others hold that Randy Orton and Legacy will run riot throughout the federation.
I believe one mid-card rivalry will take the WWE by storm.
As we all know the Straight Ballin Superstar MVP has been on a major down since late August of 2008. His losing streak may be the longest in WWE history and it has changed him mentally as well.
We're used to the "I am better than you" talk with MVP, but I havent heard that quote for ages. His losing streak will finish pretty well soon with a bit of help. Mr Kennedy has lately been advertising his movie Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia and has also been ripping MVP's latest losing streak.
I believe that after Kennedy is over his movie he will form a tag team with MVP as a way to get him winning again. Throughout the months these two become the most dominant tag-team on Smackdown, eventually winning the tag-team belts.
MVP, on the biggest high since being US champ, decides to compete for the title again and becomes the United States Champion. Kennedy turns heel because he got MVP back on his feet and he feels he deserves to be the US champion.
This would bring back some respect and competition for the US Championship.
Kennedy tries and tries to defeat his former partner for the US championship but fails every time. Kennedy moves on to finally become the WWE champion.
Kennedy then berates MVP for not stepping it up and still being a mid-card wrestler. He forms an alliance and MVP loses his US Championship causing MVP to step up and compete for the WWE Championship.
These two will have great matches for the WWE Championship, with Mr. Kennedy winning via disqualification on many occasions but MVP finally realises his road to redemption by becoming the WWE Champion.
It may be a quick rise through the ranks in one year but I believe MVP and Mr. Kennedy deserve to be in the running for the WWE Championship.
This fued could possibly happen although maybe not in the style that I have foretold.
Definitely a fued to look out for in 2009.
