Dwight Howard and the 5 Most Selfish Players in the NBA

Gabe Zaldivar@gabezalPop Culture Lead WriterFebruary 21, 2012

Basketball is a team sport, but nobody managed to tell these next few NBA stars.

What we have here is your basic rundown of the “I” guys in hoops. From demanding the ball to hogging the spotlight, these guys have only two things they love in the world: themselves and the mirror they own.

We have you covered—from a ball hog that never met a shot he thought he couldn't make, to a ball hog that may be able to back up that assumption.

We have the sick with talent to the just sick.

It takes all kinds to be selfish, and the NBA microcosm proves that fact once again.

I wish I could say that I hate these guys, but I don’t. They make watching these games as much fun as Blake Griffin dunks or Jeremy Lin assists. They are a huge part of the game, and we couldn’t imagine the world without them.
