Both local teams moved up in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll.

Michigan State jumped one spot, from No. 7 to No. 6, while Michigan jumped six spots after Saturday’s win over Ohio State, from No. 17 to at No. 11. The ranking is U-M's highest since checking in at No. 8 in January 1997.
