Michigan Football Recruiting: 5 Biggest 2013 Commitments This Past Weekend

Austin FoxJun 7, 2018

Michigan had its best recruiting weekend since...ever?

They received eight verbal commitments from the class of 2013, and all eight players are rated extremely high.

With 11 commitments already, Michigan is having the best recruiting class in the country.

Here's a closer look at the five best players they received over the weekend.

5. Wyatt Shallman (Running Back/Defensive End) Novi, Michigan

1 of 5

It is unknown what position Wyatt Shallman will play at Michigan.  As of right now, it looks like either running back or defensive end.

Shallman is from nearby Novi, and as usual, Brady Hoke is doing an unbelievable job of keeping in-state talent home.

Is Shallman too big to play running back? He stands 6'3" and weighs 255 pounds. You'd never hear Brady Hoke call a pro-style running back "too big," but it makes you wonder if he'd be better suited at fullback.

Regardless, he'll end up at whatever position he is best suited for.

Shallman's next best offer was from Michigan State, so it's great to see an in-state kid like this make the right choice and pick Michigan.

4. Logan Tuley-Tillman (Offensive Lineman) Peoria, Illinois

2 of 5

Logan Tuley-Tillman is absolutely huge, standing 6'7" and weighing 280 pounds.

Almost every major school wanted this kid, with offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio and Tennessee.

This kid should shoot way up in the rankings by the time it's all said and done.

3. Jake Butt (Tight End) Pickerington, Ohio

3 of 5

Jake Butt is another great get for Michigan, as he hails from the state of Ohio.

He is 6'6" and weighs 230 pounds, so he'll be a huge target at tight end.

In fact, Rivals.com ranks him as the fourth-best tight end in the country.

Brady Hoke just continues to amaze, constantly pulling great talent out of Ohio.

2. Kyle Bosch (Offensive Lineman) Wheaton, Illinois

4 of 5

Kyle Bosch's commitment is what started the craziness this past weekend.

He committed early Saturday afternoon and set off a domino effect after that.

He is just one of the many great offensive linemen Michigan has nabbed.

Again, tons of major schools wanted Bosch, such as Alabama, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

Adding Bosch just shows how much Michigan is controlling the Midwest, as he hails from Illinois.

1. Chris Fox (Offensive Lineman) Parker, Colorado

5 of 5

Chris Fox is arguably the best player Michigan got over the weekend.

He currently resides in Colorado but used to live in Michigan.

As usual, he is huge, standing 6'6" and weighing nearly 300 pounds.

Rivals.com has him as one of the 50 best players in the country, regardless of position.

Fox also had an offer from Ohio, so the fact that Urban Meyer wanted him and didn't get him is extra meaningful.

Fox is the headliner of what is easily the best offensive line class in the country.
