Brady Hoke's second recruiting class for the Michigan Wolverines made huge waves this past weekend, reeling in eight total commitments, six of them coming on Saturday alone.

Some, of course, are better than others, which is why it's time to discuss the elites of the commitments from this past weekend.

According to AnnArbor.com, multiple recruits visited the Michigan campus, viewing ESPN's College GameDay set and attending the Ohio State vs. Michigan basketball game later that night.

Michigan won that game, resulting in positive energy all over the place, which may have had an effect on the recruits' decisions.

Four-star offensive tackles Kyle Bosch, David Dawson and Chris Fox, 4-star athlete Wyatt Shallman, defensive back Jourdan Lewis and defensive end Taco Charlton all committed on Saturday.

Four-star offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman and 4-star tight end Jake Butt also made their decisions to play for Michigan on Sunday.

With that said, here are the top three recruits from the Wolverines' historic weekend.

Jake Butt, TE

Landing a tight end for the class of 2013 is a huge get for the Wolverines, and it's icing on the cake that he is one of the top five at his position.

Ranked No. 96 overall in the Rivals Top 100 for 2013, Butt is going to be a a star for the Wolverines should he follow through with his verbal commitment.

Hopefully he doesn't stray away, especially since he's been a lifelong Buckeye fan, which was mentioned in the report by AnnArbor.com. Ohio State never offered him, but don't be surprised if Urban Meyer does down the road.

Listed at 6'6", 230 pounds, Butt will only continue to get better during his senior year at Pickerington North. He's got ideal size and speed to greatly contribute for the Wolverines, and Michigan sure is happy it filled a position of need so early on the recruiting trail.

Chris Fox, OT

The highest-rated player on Rivals that Michigan picked up this past weekend, Fox was a big addition because he helps stack up the Wolverines offensive line even further.

In the 2012 recruiting class, Michigan landed some stud offensive linemen. The Wolverines are adding to that with Fox and others.

Rivals has Fox as the No. 46 overall player in the class of 2013 and his massive frame certainly has something to do with that.

Listed at 6'6", 297 pounds, it's not hard to believe that Fox will be over 300 by the time he enrolls at Michigan. Hoke is returning to the ground-and-pound, and now he has several lineman to help the future seem extremely bright in the Big House.

Kyle Bosch, OT

Listed at 6'5", 280 pounds, Bosch is another superb pickup for the Wolverines.

According to ESPN, Bosch had offers from Notre Dame, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Stanford and several others.

Being able to win over Bosch shows that Michigan is back to being a powerhouse in the recruiting world, and that doesn't bode well for other teams.

Bosch is ranked No. 60 overall by Rivals, and he should continue to add to his large frame as time goes on.

The key will be to make sure all of these verbal commitments stay with Michigan. De-committing is becoming a popular trend in college football recruiting, and the Wolverines would hate to lose any of these players.

In all, Michigan currently has 11 total verbal commits for the 2013 recruiting class. That's a solid number for this early on, and it's all because of the events that took place this past weekend.

This time last year, the Wolverines had zero commitments, which goes to show that Hoke is quickly off to big things at Michigan.
