As one of the favorites to win last night’s WWE Championship match, Chris Jericho didn’t achieve his goal of winning the title, as he was removed from the match after taking a nasty fall out of the chamber.

Even though we didn’t hear anything about Y2J’s condition before the event ended last night, the WWE caught up with Jericho as he was making his way out of the arena in Milwaukee.

To sum up what Jericho said in his statement, the former Undisputed Champion claims that he wasn’t officially eliminated from the match, as he was on a roll in the match after eliminating Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler.

With the long-rumored match between Punk and Jericho all but a lock for WrestleMania, I thought the WWE did a good job last night of setting up the rivalry between the two superstars to last the next six weeks.

In all honesty, I thought the WWE would have Jericho win the WWE title last night to have Punk not come in as champion for WrestleMania with poor ratings in his segments on Raw in past months.

After a strong past year in the company, I believe CM Punk deserves to enter WrestleMania as the WWE Champion following big feuds with Alberto Del Rio, John Cena and Triple H.

Between the two potential championship matches between Punk/Jericho and Bryan/Sheamus in Miami, the former will be the best title match of the night at WrestleMania with the potential to be one of the best in recent years.

So Bleachers, do you like the way the WWE is setting up the build for CM Punk and Chris Jericho for WrestleMania following last night’s Elimination Chamber event?
