WWE Elimination Chamber 2012 Predictions: John Cena Hits Rock Bottom

Micheal Robinson@nyyrobinsonSenior Analyst IIFebruary 19, 2012

It is hard to believe we are just six weeks away from WrestleMania 28 in Miami, Fla.

WWE makes its last important stop on the road to WrestleMania as Milwaukee hosts the third annual Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

Key news heading into the event tonight: Randy Orton has been replaced in his Chamber match by Santino Marella due to a concussion he received from Daniel Bryan on last Monday's Raw Supershow taping.

The concussion occurred when Bryan struck Orton with the World Heavyweight Championship. This is just another setback for Orton heading into WrestleMania, as he is just coming off another previous injury where he missed a month of action.

Christian has been rumored to appear at tonight's event, as he tweeted a postcard from Milwaukee on his Twitter account on Saturday.

There is always a twist at the Elimination Chamber event that sets up something at WrestleMania.

I would imagine that it is possible the WWE will do something with the Triple H and Undertaker saga tonight.

Also, we could finally see John Cena, "embrace the hate" tonight.  I hope so; I am tired of seeing Zack Ryder get carted off in an ambulance, and I am very serious, bro.

Here is my predictions for tonight's matches. I also think another match will be added during the show, possibly a tag team match.

Divas Championship Match

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Tamina Snuka

I don't see us going far in this match without Kharma making an appearance. I like what WWE has done with Tamina Snuka, and I hope her momentum carries her to the championship tonight. An appearance by Kharma could be used to set up a title match at WrestleMania.

Winner: Tamina Snuka (New Champion)

Ambulance Match

John Cena vs. Kane

Will he or won't he? Will John Cena finally "embrace the hate?" Kane has been nothing more than a fill-in for the movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as we get closer to Wrestlemania. I expect the Kane character to take a backseat in this match, and Cena will snap and destroy the big red machine. I don't know what role, if any, Zack Ryder or Eve will play in this match. I hope it is little to none.

I respect The Rock to my death, but if he doesn't appear soon or stick his nose in Cena's business, this feud that could be a fairy-tale fantasy is going to quickly turn into a one-hit wonder.

The Rock is already confirmed for the Monday Night Raw in Atlanta six days before WrestleMania, but I think he needs to get more involved a lot sooner to make this thing work.

Not only is The Rock going to be present at WrestleMania 28 in Miami, he is going to be at WrestleMania 29 as well. The Rock confirmed this at a press conference held at Met Life Stadium on Thursday.

While tonight may be Cena's night to shine and become the evil villain he has inside of him, he may want to look over his shoulder for The Great One.

The Rock is currently busy filming a movie, go figure, but if he can stop one day to do a press conference for WrestleMania—yes, I know it is WrestleMania—then he can appear at the pay-per-view leading into one of the biggest matches of his life.

Winner: John Cena

Raw Elimination Chamber Match

WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. R-Truth vs. The Miz

In one of two Elimination Chamber matches, CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against five other Raw competitors in one of the most dangerous matches WWE has to offer.

I fully expect Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth and The Miz to not have much impact on this match, as this is just a prelude to a WrestleMania match between Chris Jericho and the man who stole his thunder, WWE Champion CM Punk.

I can see the WrestleMania match being promoted as Jericho taking back what is his, so I don't see him winning the title tonight, only coming close to doing so instead.

Punk and Jericho are the last two men standing and Jericho goes to sleep.

Winner: CM Punk

Smackdown Elimination Chamber Match

World HeavyweightChampion Daniel Bryant vs. Big Show vs. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Santino Marella vs. The Great Khali vs. Wade Barrett

With Randy Orton out of action in this match, Daniel Bryan has one less superstar to worry about. I don't see Marella causing too much trouble for the World Heavyweight Champion. Actually, I don't think Santino will be in this match; I expect Christian to take his spot instead... which will be John Laurinaitis' big announcement he has in store for the crowd in Milwaukee.

The official Twitter feed for Laurinaitis says he will make a huge announcement at Elimination Chamber.

The statement reads, "FYI: I plan to make a HUGE announcement at Elimination #Chamber tomorrow. It might stop the show, and will certainly be a Game changer."

This match holds zero excitement to me, and I don't know what the outcome is going to be, to be honest, which isn't a bad thing because it isn't predictable.

However, it just doesn't have a whole lot of good feeling with Orton out of the mix now.

I guess Bryan retains.

Winner: Daniel Bryan
