John Cena defeated Kane in an Ambulance Match.
...that was it. The crowd's lack of reaction says it all. There was absolutely nothing about that match that warranted it being the main event. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
Kane vs. John Cena had lost so much steam as a storyline going into this PPV. It had become far too dramatic, alienating a good portion of the WWE's audience.
On the other hand, CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, which was the main story behind the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber, would have been a much more suitable main event. Instead, it ended up opening show.
All in all, this was a good PPV with two exciting Elimination Chamber matches. However, with such an anti-climatic ending, the WWE left a sour taste in the mouth of many fans. When they needed an exciting finish to the PPV to kick off the last stretch before WrestleMania, they gave us nothing. That will certainly hurt the memory of this PPV.
Hopefully the WWE can put forth a stellar effort tomorrow night on Raw. Much like after the Royal Rumble, they're going to need something to re-energize the product after that lackluster ending.
So far, the match has been a formulaic brawl. For me, it's been going by very slowly. The crowd, as far as I can tell, isn't very into it, which makes it feel like it's moving even more slowly.
I mentioned on Twitter how I view this match as a medium for getting to whatever payoff that warrants this match being the main event. Based on the responses I got, I'm not the only one!
Jack Swagger defeated Justin Gabriel to retain the United States Championship. Gabriel ended up tapping out to the Ankle Lock after putting up a good fight in this fun, five minute match. I would certainly love to see some more from these two in the future.
John Cena vs. Kane in an Ambulance Match will start shortly.
Teddy Long made an impromptu match: Jack Swagger vs. Justin Gabriel for the United States Championship.
I don't see Gabriel winning simply because he's a Smackdown Superstar.
Wade Barrett was eliminated by Daniel Bryan. As Michael Cole pointed out, these two began their WWE careers on NXT season one. It's amazing how far they have come since then and how much has changed.
After a few minutes of very competitive back and forth action, Santino Marella was eliminated by Daniel Bryan. I give these two a lot of credit - I thought it would be impossible to make Santino look like a believable contender. I didn't even think he'd make a long run in this match, but he did. There were even a few times where I thought he could have won.
Daniel Bryan retained his World Heavyweight Championship.
After the match, Sheamus made his way to the ring. Without saying a word, he hit Daniel Bryan with the Celtic Cross, apparently declaring his WrestleMania number one contendership.
Big Show was eliminated by Cody Rhodes. Shortly thereafter, Cody Rhodes was eliminated by Santino Marella. Before exiting the match, Rhodes hit Marella with the Cross Rhodes.
Daniel Bryan entered the match. About 30 seconds prior to being released from his pod, Big Show broke through the top of the pod and climbed into Bryan's pod.
The Great Khali is the fifth entrant, making World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan the final entrant.
Shortly after entering, The Great Khali was eliminated by Big Show.
The fourth entry in the match was Santino Marella.
So far, there have been no eliminations. Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett joined forces briefly to take down Big Show. Barrett then turned on Rhodes.
The third entrant in the match is Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.
The World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match is getting underway. The Big Show and Wade Barrett will start off the match.
I guess this means the Ambulance Match between John Cena and Kane will be the main event? That's despicable, in my opinion.
John Laurinaitis made his way out to make an announcement. As he began to complain that Teddy Long should be subjected to the same scrutiny, Alberto del Rio made his return. Del Rio agreed, saying that Teddy Long is corrupt.
Mark Henry came out shortly thereafter, also agreeing with Johnny Ace. Christian made his return to also show his support.
This segment was not just a monumental waste of PPV time, but also a waste of three returns.

Beth Phoenix defeated Tamina Snuka to retain her WWE Diva's Championship.
I found this to be one of the better Divas matches we've seen in a long while. Tamina and Beth have some great chemistry. However, the lack of crowd reaction didn't help the match. It seemed to lag at times because of that. I also liked Beth's tribute to Roddy Piper with her ring gear.

Backstage, Santino Marella was shown drinking raw eggs to Eugene's entrance music.

Apparently, Chris Jericho was eliminated after being put through the chamber. Minutes later, The Miz was eliminated following a GTS.
CM Punk retains the WWE Championship and will go on to defend it at WrestleMania.
All in all, this was a pretty fun match. It had the classic exciting spots that are staples of Elimination Chamber matches. However, Jericho's elimination was a bit of a let down for this viewer. The final two being Miz and Punk took some wind out of the sails of this match because no one expected Miz to win.
CM Punk put Jericho through the chamber. Doctors made their way to the scene to check on Jericho. As far as I can tell, it's a work just because they continued showing it all on camera.
Kofi Kingston hit an amazing high crossbody block from the top of a pod. Miz kicked out of a pin attempt after being on the receiving end of the crossbody. Shortly after, Kofi Kingston was eliminated when he tapped out to Jericho's Liontamer.
Dolph Ziggler was eliminated following a Codebreaker from Jericho. After being the number one contender for the WWE Championship just a month ago, Ziggler was the first person eliminated. I'm sure the only reason Kingston wasn't eliminated first is because they wanted to keep the most acrobatic wrestler in the match as long as possible.
Chris Jericho, the last competitor, has entered the match. Punk had Miz locked in the Anaconda Vise, but released it once Jericho entered. Miz is still in the match.
The Miz entered the match.
Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise on Punk. Punk was able to kick out at two because Ziggler and Kingston fought for a few seconds. Personally, I don't see why Ziggler would stop Kingston from eliminating Punk. It ensure that a new champion would be crowned and make one less person for Ziggler to worry about. Perhaps Ziggler wants to be the one to eliminate Punk.
R-Truth was the fourth competitor to enter the match. With his entry, the match has become a Fatal 4way match.
Dolph Ziggler is the third person to enter the match. Immediately after entering, Ziggler made a beeline for WWE Champion CM Punk.
CM Punk and Kofi Kingston will begin the match. As decided on Raw, Jericho will be the last competitor to enter.
