What if the New York Knicks had Mike James instead of Jeremy Lin?

Chances are there wouldn't be the kind of media storm that has transpired. James told Nick Friedell:

"I was supposed to go to New York for Jeremy Lin, but then Linsanity happened."

James, who was waived by the Bulls almost three weeks ago before being re-signed, had a big game Thursday night, contributing eight points, four assists and a block in only 17 minutes, helping the Rose-less Bulls defeat the Boston Celtics.

James is from New York, and although he would have been back playing in his hometown, Knicks fans surely would have missed out.

The Knicks have won seven straight games mostly because of Lin. They look to make it eight against the New Orleans Hornets Friday night.
