If ESPN hadn’t cancelled Playmakers, the show’s writers would win an Emmy for coming up with a plot like what’s playing out right now in Indianapolis with Peyton Manning. 

You’ve got a future Hall of Fame quarterback, leaded medical reports, the No. 1 draft pick and an owner who’s apparently teaching a course on waffling.

The only thing that seems certain at this point is that the Colts are taking Andrew Luck and they aren’t going to pay Peyton his $28 million bonus. As for everything else, it’s completely up in the air.

If Manning’s neck is still in question, he could give it one more go in Indy where he’s comfortable and capable of driving up demand for his services next season. 

If he wants a run at a Super Bowl he could head to San Francisco, where they already have a championship-caliber defense and coaching staff.

If he wants to cement his legacy as a god in Tennessee, he could return to his college stomping grounds in hopes of bringing the Titans a title.
