Longtime Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Tim Wakefield will announce his retirement from baseball today, according to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports. The decision marks the end of a 19-year career for the knuckleball pitcher.

He finishes with a career record of 200-180 and an ERA of 4.41. He won the World Series twice as a member of the Red Sox after beginning his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wakefield also made one All-Star appearance back in 2009.
