They’re out there, the types that make you cringe or immediately lunge for the remote. They host reality shows, do newscasts, star in sitcoms or appear as “experts” on those Fox News and CNN shows where everybody just argues with each other. They’re annoying TV personalities, and luckily you have a choice not to watch.

That’s not always true in sports. If it’s a can’t miss game, you’re stuck. If you're in a bar or a restaurant or at a sports-obsessed buddie's house, good luck getting them to flip off ESPN. It’s just the way it is; these “folks” (Brent Musburger, anyone?) are inescapable.

So you’re stuck. Your face starts to cringe, your ears try to fold in on themselves. Your mind? Well that just gets scrambled to mush amid the cliches and loud-mouthing and pantomiming. Do yourself a favor, don’t ever Google their salaries.

We picked five here, and you may not agree with all of them. That’s fine, but know this: We could have made this list a lot longer, too.
