Will Sharks Be Facing a Distracted Lightning Team?

All the real news this morning came from the Tampa Bay Lightning’s side of things as GM Steve Yzerman let the world know that veteran defenseman Pavel Kubina is on the trading block.

Kubina won’t play against the Sharks tonight, Yzerman said, because the team wanted to protect its asset. As per terms of his contract, Kubina has been asked to provide the list of teams that are acceptable to him as a future home and until a deal gets worked out, he’s on the sidelines.
