TAMPA, FLA. There is still optimism the New York Yankees and Pirates will eventually agree on a trade that would send A.J. Burnett to Pittsburgh, but the final sticking point has the talks in stasis.

“No change whatsoever,” an industry source with knowledge of the talks said Wednesday.
