Zack Novak has given four full years of everything imaginable to the Michigan basketball program.

Yet one of his lasting contributions might have more impact on the future. Novak helped recruit one of his boyhood friends, 6-foot-11 Mitch McGary, who will arrive at U-M in the fall as the highest-rated recruit the program has gotten -- Rivals.com's No. 3 overall national player -- in years.
