The chances of Kate Upton gracing the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in back-to-back years is unlikely.

In the magazine's historic run, only four women have ever done it: Elle Macpherson, Christie Brinkley, Paulina Porizkova and Tyra Banks (Carolyn Murphy also did so, but she was part of a group shot in 2006).

At only 19 years old and as popular and polarizing as Upton is, she could give it a run.

However, these are the top candidates to replace her.

Nina Agdal

There isn't much to say about Nina Agdal that you can't take away from looking at her.

She's only 19 years old, and the Danish model will likely be the most popular of the youngsters this year.

Alyssa Miller

The 21-year-old was a finalist for the cover this year after making her debut in the magazine only a year ago. Like Upton, her star could rise quickly and she could easily be on the cover next year.

The LA-born girl would be an ideal American candidate.

Genevieve Morton

Another finalist for the cover this year, Morton is a South African model who made her debut last year.

She rocks her pictures in this year's magazine and has the looks to earn the cover.

Brooklyn Decker

Putting Decker back on the cover would disappoint absolutely no one. Words don't do justice when it comes to her 2010 cover.
