Alex Morgan made headlines last year as a big-time player for the U.S. women's national team in their World Cup run.

And she figures to become an even bigger star after her latest body paint photos in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

Morgan's latest body paint pics drew rave reviews as the issue came out on Valentine's Day. She's becoming more than an up-and-coming soccer star. She's becoming a multidimensional celebrity.

Morgan told SI.com before the Swimsuit issue hit the shelves, "Initially I was a little nervous, but this opportunity doesn't come everyday."

Indeed it doesn't. But the 22-year-old beauty is capitalizing on all her opportunities, and that's only going to push her forward as she juggles soccer and life off the field.

Morgan has the capability of landing multiple endorsements, given she causes a stir on and off the field. And at such a young age, you get the feeling this is only the beginning for Morgan, who has seen her popularity soar since the World Cup.

The most marketable athletes make an impact in multiple areas. Being an up-and-coming soccer star is one thing, but turning to modeling on her off time promises to help Morgan soar even more, especially if she keeps landing in Swimsuit issues.

Morgan seems primed to make a lot of money down the line with endorsement deals. One only has to look at her body paint photos to know that it's hard to ignore her emergence.

Who knows if the U.S. women will win the World Cup in 2012.

But one thing's for sure: America will be watching...Alex Morgan.
