“Linsanity” had already overtaken the country before Jeremy Lin proved himself once again on Monday.
Lin upped the ante with two extremely clutch baskets in the final seconds against the Raptors, including a game-winning three. Even the Toronto fans were on his side. His ascension from seemingly out of nowhere, along with his Taiwanese-American heritage and refreshing humility, have made him into the next great American underdog story.
He’s shown that he’s a baller in every sense of the word. In addition to dropping dimes like nobody’s business, he can score in the paint and perimeter. He’s a passable defender, and his energy has been a real positive for the Knicks.
New York hasn’t lost since Lin started getting heavy minutes. They will eventually, but his presence and excellent play have completely transformed the outlook at MSG. Here’s my breakdown of whether or not Jeremy Lin can truly be the Knicks’ savior in 2012.
**Lin had 13 assists to go with 10 points and 5 rebounds as NY beat Sac for their 7th straight victory on Wednesday night**
