Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has been named to the NFL's competition committee, which studies the game and recommends rules and policy changes to teams, the NFL announced on Tuesday.
The nine-member committee is one of the league's more powerful, and Whisenhunt will be one three coaches on it.
