Full Ride is a weekly college football recruiting show that pulls back the curtain to give you the hottest news, analysis, interviews and highlights.

He's known as the 7th-grade quarterback who committed to USC. Now a freshman, David Sills V is becoming one of the top passers in the class of 2015.

Full Ride goes behind the scenes to see how the quarterback prodigy is developing and to dispel rumors of Sills being groomed in similar fashion to former Trojans quarterback Todd Marinovich.

The 15-year-old signal-caller from Bear, Delaware completed 66 percent of his passes for 2,340 yards and 28 touchdowns as a freshman. Sills V trains with quarterback guru Steve Clarkson, who has been trusted to coach two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and 2012 Heisman Trophy front runner Matt Barkley.

NFL legend Joe Montana even sent his two sons to learn from Clarkson.

So, is Sills V the next Marinovich? Not from our vantage point.
