Ohio State won't be able to go to the postseason in 2012, but that is no reason to throw the season away.

If new coach Urban Meyer can make strides next year, that will greatly improve their chances for success in 2013. If they can go into the season after next with a "can-do" attitude after a productive 2012, it will greatly improve their ability to compete for a conference and possibly national title.

Meyer started off his career at Ohio State with a great 2012 recruiting class, with five commits from the ESPNU 150. Meyer has already given many Buckeye fans hope for the future.

But in order to continue that success and carry that momentum during this upcoming season, some players on this Buckeyes team are going to need to give Meyer some help for him to start off with a good season.

These players' production can directly correlate into Ohio State's 2012 success.
