What They're Saying

Steve Elling of CBSSports.com identified World No. 1 Luke Donald as one of his favorites for the week, noting that his game sets up well for Riviera.

Luke Donald missed two cuts last year in his breakthrough season and one was in his season opener at Riviera. In all, however, he’s perfect for this track, where length is not the central tool. In five of his last seven starts here, has been T13 or better.

Golfer to Watch

Keegan Bradley.

Will Keegan Bradley win between now and the Masters?

Bradley entered the season on a little bit of a hot streak, winning the PGA Championship in 2011, but has remained a little under the radar in 2012. He has made cuts in 2012 but hasn't seriously contended.

He will need to be a little more consistent early on in the year or the talk about a sophomore slump will appear. This is a good situation for him to do that. Bradley is under the radar, which is where he's been at his best throughout his short career. Look for a Top 10 showing this week.

Prediction: Hunter Mahan

His game sets up well for this course. Riviera has always favored shot makers over players that have one really strong dimension to their game. That describes Mahan perfectly; his game is well rounded for a course like this one. He has played well this season and is in great position to break through for a win this week.
