Ohio State Football Recruiting : Urban Meyer Lands Another 4-Star Athlete
Billy Price of Fitch High School in Youngstown, Ohio is the third prospective athlete to give Urban Meyer and the Ohio State University football program a verbal commitment for the class of 2013.
Price—a 6'4", 280-pound offensive and defensive lineman—is rated as the No. 3 recruit in the state by recruiting analyst Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts. He selected OSU on February 14 over Alabama, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, among others.
“I was just really comfortable with Ohio State,” Price said, according to the Columbus Dispatch. “The academics are really strong, and my family is very comfortable with coach Meyer and his staff. I got all the questions I had about Ohio State answered, and it was finally time.”
Although he's expected to be a full-time defensive end at the collegiate level, Kurelic said that he possesses the ability to play either position while in Columbus.
Rivals.com currently has cornerback Cameron Burrows and quarterback Jalin Marshall—who will likely be used as a wide receiver—rated the No. 1 and 2 athletes for the state of Ohio, respectively.
Both have already given their verbal agreement to play for Meyer.
Just two weeks after National Signing Day, the Buckeyes are already making strides for the best recruiting class in 2013 with one 5-star and two 4-star commits.
We can expect more of the same for Urban Meyer and his staff over the next several months.
