Indians Designate LHP Kelvin De La Cruz to Make Room for Kotchman

The Indians added first baseman Casey Kotchman to the 40-man roster Tuesday. Left-hander Kelvin De La Cruz was designated for assignment to make room.
The Indians signed Kotchman to a one-year $3 million contract on Feb. 2. Kotchman hit .306 (153-for-500) with 24 doubles, 10 homers and 48 RBI last year for Tampa Bay.
