WWE Raw Results: What We Learned About Triple H

The WWE saw Triple H's true colors on Raw this past Monday.

A couple weeks ago, The Undertaker returned to Raw to issue a challenge to Triple H regarding WrestleMania. These two individuals had an epic match at the last WrestleMania, one that resulted in an Undertaker win but at great cost to him. He needed assistance to walk out of the arena. Triple H walked out on the Undertaker after the challenge was issued.

The next week, Undertaker again called out Triple H. Triple H once again declined to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania. After hearing from Triple H, it was announced that the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, would be returning to Raw the following week.

Last night is where everything went down. The WWE Universe witnessed the return of the legend Shawn Michaels, and he did it to address the situation between Triple H and the Undertaker. He called out Triple H to announce what everyone was wanting to hear from him, that he would be fighting the Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Triple H's music hit, and he came out to the ring and addressed everyone. However, he did not change his stance. He simply said he didn't want to wrestle the Undertaker after knowing what it would take to do that, and he couldn't end him.

According to Shawn, that is exactly the kind of person Triple H is. He is the Cerebral Assassin, he is supposed to be ruthless, give no mercy, step on their throat when they are down. He then called Triple H a coward for backing down from a challenge another man gave him.

Triple H turned to walk away again, but Shawn grabbed his arm. Triple H finally exploded, explaining his reasons.

Triple H is focused on the corporate aspect of the WWE now. He said it best himself when he stated the he, Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker were part of a dying breed. Shawn retired, Triple H transferred into the corporate aspect of the business and the Undertaker was all that was left.

Most importantly, Triple H appears to be taking his new role of Chief Operating Officer of the WWE seriously. He even threw out in his promo that he considers the Undertaker to be a brand and that it would be bad for business to end the Undertaker like that.

Triple H has his mind set on the future for WWE, as he claims the entire business will be his one day. He doesn't really need to be wrestling in the ring all the time anymore. He should continue to resist against the Undertaker and have a younger wrestler enter into the match against the Deadman. This could help put over a newer talent, and thus, continue to build the brand of the WWE that Triple H is so concerned about.

I could even see Triple H refusing to wrestle, but go and "endorse" a wrestler to fight on his behalf at WrestleMania.

However, the common consensus amongst the WWE Universe is that Triple H will eventually cave in and fight the Undertaker, and there have been rumors of Shawn Michaels being a special guest referee for the match.

Whatever the outcome of this event, it is clear that Triple H has transformed his focus from in-ring performer to corporate bureaucrat.
