WWE Elimination Chamber 2012: Previewing the Raw Elimination Chamber Match

This Sunday, WWE will have its next pay-per-view, the Elimination Chamber. Named after the gruesome match, in which both Raw and Smackdown will see their respective titles defended this year. The one I'm most looking forward to is the Raw Chamber Match.

This match will feature current WWE Champion CM Punk, Chris Jericho, The Miz, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, and Dolph Ziggler. With that many great superstars in the ring, there is a high probability that the match will be a great one.

There are a few great feuds entering the match as well. The Miz and R-Truth have been in a heated rivalry since R-Truth returned from his injury. After Miz turned his back on his former partner, R-Truth turned face and is out for revenge. Look for R-Truth to go right after Miz when he gets his chance to go in the match.

CM Punk just finished up a small feud with Dolph Ziggler, and is entering one with Chris Jericho, believed to be setting up for a match at Wrestlemania between the two, and is one that has many fans giddy in excitement.

For months leading up to Jericho's return, the WWE Universe witnessed many videos about the "end of the world as we know it" and how he was returning to "reclaim what is rightfully his." This is all based off the premise that CM Punk declares himself as the best wrestler in the world.

This feud has the potential to set off fireworks, with the grand finale culminating at Wrestlemania.

I expect this match will begin with The Miz and Kofi Kingston. Both of these wrestlers have not been doing a whole lot in the main event scene recently, and would provide a decent match to start watching. Next, I anticipate CM Punk joining the fray. WWE usually does a decent job to make it appear as if the champion is at extreme odds to pick up the win and retain his title, and having him enter the match early will certainly aid in that.

After Punk, I expect R-Truth to enter the match, and immediately attack the Miz. These two will go on in a heated battle until one of the two is eliminated from the match. Next to enter would be Dolph Ziggler, who will likely battle CM Punk as soon as he can.

The final contestant to enter the match will be Chris Jericho after he won a six-pack challenge between the Chamber participants on Raw two weeks ago that gave him the final entry into the match. This gives him the slight edge in the match over the rest of the competitors and will likely prove to be a huge benefit.

For the match, I anticipate it to come down between CM Punk and Chris Jericho. No one else is really deserving of the WWE Championship at this point in time, and if either of those two do not walk out with the title around their waist, the match at Wrestlemania will lose a little bit of its glory.

I anticipate Jericho walking out of the chamber as the WWE Champion. This will set Wrestlemania up perfectly for a match between the two. I can see Jericho putting out some stipulation such as the WWE Championship vs. CM Punk's gimmick of "Best in the World."
