In times like these, it pays to have strong leaders. Fortunately for USC, it has plenty of high-character veterans to help the younger Trojans get through a rough patch.
Within the span of a few days, USC lost two of its assistants to the NFL: linebackers coach Joe Barry to the Chargers and receivers coach Ted Gilmore to the Raiders.
