Last year hinted there was a shift in the Longhorns' football recruiting tactics, and Sunday confirmed it.

Unlike in 2010, when Texas' first junior day secured 13 commitments, Sunday's event produced no nonbinding verbal public pledges.

Zip, zero, nada.

Surprising? Maybe a little, but not entirely.
