Manchester City has made a name for themselves in the last few seasons as a club willing to spend whatever it takes to land whatever players they want.
Now it looks as though they just might have to start making smarter decisions as this January saw them make multiple sales but only loan in one player on a temporary basis.
As this summer draws near, it is almost blatantly clear that Carlos Tevez is one of the first expected to be sold but there are still more players that are likely to be moved, to clear up wages and transfer funds.
City are sure to attract interest of players and if they win the English Premier League they will be given a huge boost in the running to sign some of their currently rumored targets.
Will Hughes
Manchester City and Manchester United are both now said to be chasing Derby County Football Club's young midfield star Will Hughes.
The Daily Mail claims that the two sides of Manchester are the primary two that are interested in the player.

Manchester City have been linked with a possible move for Paris-Saint Germain defender Mamadou Sakho.
Tribalfootball.com reports that the Blues' boss Roberto Mancini is a big admirer of the player whom he believes is a key player for the future of the game.
Eden Hazard
While Eden Hazard looks primed for a move to Arsenal or Tottenham, in what has been one of the week's biggest stories around the press, it has been revealed that Manchester City is still a possibility.
Goal.com broke news that the player is still up in the air about his decision and that Chelsea have ceased their pursuit of him for the summer.
Javi Martinez

Manchester City have also been linked with Athletic Bilbao's wonderkind midfielder Javi Martinez.
The youngster can play anywhere at the back and also is a key defensive midfielder when called upon.
Didier Drogba

While this is not a major rumor in the press, the possibility of City chasing the free transfer of Didier Drogba in the summer is an enticing one to ponder.
The Blues have relatively little long term experience up front, and the signing of a veteran and proven winner like a Drogba could help push Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko to the top of their form.
