Miami Heat: Ranking LeBron James' 5 Best Commercials

0 of 5

On the court, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James is arguably as talented a player the NBA has ever seen. Off the court, James is also one of the more entertaining characters the game has to offer.

From his puppet duo to "The LeBrons" series, James has been known for his groundbreaking, outright hilarious commercials throughout his NBA career.

Hate him or love him, there's no denying James has a knack for being a part of some of the more comical ads there have been in the last decade.

Looking back on the hit ads, these are the top five LeBron James commercials of all time.

No. 5: Rookie of the Year Won't Cut It, LeBron

1 of 5

LeBron James seems to be called out notoriously for his lack of NBA championships, as he is yet to win one in his ninth season in the NBA.

What makes this commercial so great? He was just a year into the league, and already, fans gave the talent a hard time for not coming through.

In this ad, James is mocked by kids for his inability to win an NBA championship or make a postseason appearance, in spite of earning Rookie of the Year honors.

Little did TNT know, the LeBron James championship-less streak continues on, as it makes this ad all the more comical.

No. 4: "I'm Gonna Have to Call You Back," the LeBron Dunk Contest

2 of 5

"Ima have to call y'all back."

The LeBron James with the afro makes for a plethora of laughs in this dunk contest ad with his classic "Ima have to call y'all back" entrance.

His through-the-legs, off-the-backboard dunk is followed by a ridiculous LeBron James slam. From the old man to current LeBron James, this is easily one of the funnier ads of "The LeBrons" series.

Don't we all wish LeBron James would take his ridiculous hops and dunking ability to the NBA's dunk contest?

No. 3: The LeBrons Series Features LeBron James Swimming

3 of 5

The many faces of LeBron James in the "the LeBrons" series makes for arguably as good a commercial as any LeBron has done during his NBA tenure.

The Nike ad features LeBron James playing the role of each of the members of the LeBrons, which is topped off by a dive into the pool by the afro-rocking James.

The old man sitting on the chair and the James diving off the diving board make for a hilarious commercial, as it demonstrates just how versatile James is in the ad world.

No. 2: LeBron James Takes His Talents To...The NFL

4 of 5

The question that lingers in every sports fan's mind—just how good would LeBron James be in the NFL?

He's quick, fast, elusive, 6'8'' and 250 pounds. There is no doubt that LeBron James is capable of pulling off an Antonio Gates and become one of the more productive TEs in the NFL.

James has always had fans pondering just how good he could be under the "Friday Night lights," as he is arguably the most impressive athlete of our generation.

Not the most comical of the James commercials, the LeBron James football ad is one of the more intriguing ads to hit the scene.

No. 1: The LeBron James, Big Z Handshake

5 of 5

    Talk about a championship-caliber ad.

Big Z and his priceless accent and LeBron showing Kobe and the rest of the barber shop the epic Cavaliers handshake was a priceless moment in James' commercial career.

"Handshake" was hands down the funniest, laugh-out-loud commercial of LeBron James' ad career.

The commercial was one of several puppet cads that LeBron James and Kobe Bryant took part in, as this one was easily the most creative, interestingly put together commercials there was.

Laughing as I finish writing the piece, the LeBron James "handshake" ad is a laugh-out-loud spectacle that goes down as the best James commercial of all time.
