Dottie Sandusky used her right foot and her car to send a message to reporters: If you are going to stand in front of her driveway you better be on your toes.

Courtney Brennan got the lesson first hand. As she tells us in her report, she was filming a story when all of a sudden the wife of the embattled former Penn State coach came speeding into the entrance to her home.

The interesting part about this is that Brennan was standing in front of the driveway.

Brennan noticed the hurtling death machine and a look came across her face like she just saw a giant UFO roll onto the horizon.

The look is understandable, because who expects a car to approach when you're standing in the road? Oh wait, maybe she should have been expecting this.

The whole scene was an act of childishness. Here is a good guess at the emotions involved here.

Dottie, who is very likely completely fed up with the intrusion of reporters, was not happy to return home and see a reporter blocking her driveway. So she sped up in anger and tried to send a message.

The reporter, who was then outraged that someone had the audacity to "assault" a local TV personality, decided to exact some revenge by "tattling" on Dottie on air.

This twisted and sad story has progressed from shocking to the theater of the absurd that accompanies intense media scrutiny and public interest.
