TNA presents their annual February PPV—Against All Odds—this Sunday, February 12, 2012. We have seven matches—six of which are actually worth watching—and four of them have a title on the line.

Questions abound!

Will Bobby Roode retain? Will Bully Ray have Roode's back or break it?

Will James Storm get screwed again? Will Hulk Hogan's battery operated back hold up?

Will anyone stay awake for Garett vs. Gunner? Will Gail Kim hold off her toughest challenge yet?

Will A.J. Styles get revenge? Will Jesse Sorenson remember how to wrestle? Will anyone remember who he is?

Will Zema Ion have a better haircut than last we saw him?

Most importantly, who will win their respective matches?

Here's my predictions. Enjoy!

Garett Bischoff W/Hulk Hogan vs. Gunner W/Eric Bischoff

Garettgunner_134660_display_image

Let's be honest—no one cares about this match. I am a Hogan mark and I don't care about this match.

If you actually care about this match that is a news nugget best  kept to yourself.

Let's be even more honest—this match, and these people, have no business being on a PPV card when the likes of better wrestlers are collecting dust in the locker room.

Guys like Pope, Eric Young and Kid Kash immediately spring to mind.

But I digress—let's move on.

It's on the card and therefore I will make a prediction.

In fact, I will make several.

I predict that no one will care about this match.

I predict it will be the worst match on the card.

I predict it will be placed higher on the card than where it should be—leading off.

I predict that no matter who wins we—the fans—are the losers.

I predict two low-blows, an eye poke, an eye-rake, a back-rake, a chair, a cartoon-like wind-up punch, a hair-grabbing-over-the-top-rope toss as well as someone on their knees begging like a coward at some point during this match.

It's not all bad, though; I mean, there is good news, too. It won't last long and it's not an official tag.

Let's all hope that Garett wins by a clean pin, because if he doesn't that means we are going to see all four of them again until he does.

My Pick: Garett by DQ—and yes, that means more of this in the future.

No.1 X-Division No.1 Contenders Match: Zema Ion vs. Jesse Sorenson

Ppv51_display_image

Let's look at the pros and the cons of this match.

Pros

These guys are young, full of energy, they can both fly and the winner will face Austin Aries. That's all good.

No matter what happens we know that we can expect a fast-paced spot-fest. It should be a good show.

Cons

Neither has been seen much as of late on Impact. Ion has been on recently but Sorenson has only been seen on Impact once in the last two months.

This match has had zero build, came from left field and seems to be tossed in as a filler. Let's hope that is also not how it was booked.

No one really cares about either one of these guys yet, nor is either a real threat at this stage to defeat Aries, so the buy-in on our part is not there.

So what's gonna happen?

I am a Sorenson fan, and even though I want him to win—and it seems logical he will because he is a face and Aries is a heel—I would rather see Ion win because I am a big fan of heel vs. heel matches.

They simply don't happen that often.

The interesting thing about this match is that it will most likely take place before the Aries vs. Shelley match. If Ion wins it sets up a thought that Shelley might actually defeat Aries.

However—in the real world where I live—that's not happening.

My Pick: Jesse Sorenson in a three-star match that might possibly see interference from Aries himself. One can only hope.

A.J. Styles vs. Kazarian W/Christopher Daniels

Styleskaz_display_image

No matter what happens we all win when these guys are on the card.

Pros

Kaz and Styles can flat out go in the ring. They are both human highlight reels, know each other well and their timing and execution is top-tier. It's gonna be a great match in the neighborhood of three-stars.

Cons

The big question is not who will win but rather what does Daniels have on Kaz to control him? The con in this match is that we are not going to find out at the PPV.

This match is simply a vehicle to the reveal later on. We are not going to get any answers, but we will at least get a good match.

So what's gonna happen?

Pele kicks, Spring Board, Drop Kicks, DDT's and all the good stuff we have come to expect from these guys. Daniels will affect the outcome, of course. I hope that this match allows Kaz to let loose his offense so he can really show everyone what he can do. He is just as good, if not better than both Daniels and Styles in the ring.

He is completely undervalued and underrated in this business.

Prediction: Great match ending with a Styles victory via DQ caused by Daniels. I predict Blood.

Knockout's Title Match: Gail Kim (c) vs. Tara

Tarakim_display_image

Finally, Gail Kim defends her title against someone worthy.

Pros

Kim and Tara are two of the best technical wrestlers on the TNA Knockouts roster. Tara is far better, but Kim is no slouch.

Both women are in shape and have some speed in their arsenal. The pace should be good.

I expect a decent battle between these two with some decent impact moves that will impress. 7-8 minutes or so should do.

Cons

It probably won't end clean given Madison Rayne's affiliation with Kim. I hope Kim can keep up with Tara.

So what will happen?

I can see Madison interfering and Velvet Sky making an appearance to keep her at Bay, but it won't be enough.

Prediction: Kim retains but the outcome sets up a tag match—on Impact or the next PPV— between Velvet and Tara vs. Madison and Gail for the tag titles, which will be won by Tara and Velvet.

X-Division Championship: Austin Aries (c) vs. Alex Shelley

Arieshhelley_display_image

Anytime Aries is on the card it's a three start match at minimum.

Pros

Aries by himself is worth the price of admission. Shelley can hang with Aries in the ring and this one has the potential to be the match of the night. In fact, I am calling it right now—match of the night.

Cons

Hopefully, Shelley can refrain from over-selling and pandering to the crowd before and after every move and Aries leaves some of his less-than-impressive moves (eye rake, cat-scratch and pendulum elbow) in his bag of tricks and just sticks to the staples we have all come to know and love.

So what will happen?

Shelley puts up an impressive battle and manages to get a few near falls before Aries does something slightly under-handed to get the advantage before nailing Shelley with the Brain-buster for the win. I doubt they will have Shelley tap to the Horns of Aries.

Prediction: Does anyone—except for for one of my regular readers (Josh) who is a huge Shelley Fan—think Shelley has a chance?

Nope, didn't think so.

The self-proclaimed "greatest man that ever lived" retains his title—and rightfully so.

Tag Titles Match: Morgan and Crimson (c) vs. Magnus and Samoa Joe

Tags_display_image

This has the potential to compete with Austin and Shelley for match of the night.

Pros

We have four really big guys who can explode into some serious offense. Magnus has proven himself to be a star in the making, Joe is revitalized and focused once again, Morgan can be entertaining and Crimson has a lot of unbridled energy that can—at times—be a good thing.

This should be an explosive, fun match.

Cons

Crimson is the weak link here. If they can manage him by limiting his time in the ring, the match will be better. There is a chance here that the right guys won't win, and if they let the wrong guys win, the match will be a disappointment regardless of the action they deliver.

So what will happen?

I predict some big action, stiff shots and hard hitting action. Magnus and Joe will be over.

Prediction: There better be new tag champs at the end of this one.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Roode (c) vs. Bully Ray vs. Hardy vs. Storm

Fatal_display_image

All four of these guys are fun to watch, and Sting's involvement makes things interesting.

Pros

The unpredictability in the stipulations in this match make it a must-watch event. The fact that Bobby Roode can lose his title without even being pinned is tantalizing enough but Sting being involved could top the scales in someone else's favor.

Cons

Hardy has not been involved in the process for three weeks and Storm has been sort of pushed down as of late, giving all of us no reason to expect that either of these guys will come out on top in this one. One really gets the feeling that this match is really between bully and Roode, and that is a shame given there are four men involved.

Sting's involvement could also be a con if he does anything to cause Hardy or Storm to win.

So what do I think will happen?

If you have been reading my columns over the last month, you already know what I think will go down in this one.

I expect a more methodical match rather than a high-paced spot-fest.

Prediction: I see this going in two possible directions. Roode takes out Sting causing a DQ or Bully Ray pins James Storm to win the title.

If so, expect Roode to whine and complain that he never lost the belt, prompting a match on the next Impact—or next PPV— where he defeats Bully to get back the title he never lost.

And with that, my friends, all that is left is to see how it all unfolds.
